 Juan A. Latasa is the Head of Strategic Projects at Vodafone Spain since January 2008. Previously, he had been with Telefonica /O2 for more than 10 years. His last position was Head of Broadband Convergence at O2 Ireland, where he was responsible for the definition and implementation of the Broadband strategy.
Mr. Latasa, prior to moving to Ireland, was also responsible for the digital home innovation projects within the Telefonica group, and was the president of the Spanish Digital Home Commission. Previously, he was Business Development Manager at Telefonica de Espaņa, in the residential business unit. Before joining Telefonica, he had worked for AT&T Consulting in Spain for several years, and started his own IT services firm.
He started his professional career as a Research Analyst at the MIT Media Lab. Mr. Latasa holds an Executive MBA from IESE (Madrid, Spain), and a BS in Physics from MIT (Boston, USA).
