 Venkat R. Uppuluri has over 16 years of product marketing and management experience in wireless communications and networking industries.
Venkat joined Sigma Designs as the Director of Wireless Product Marketing through the acquisition of Blue7 Communications in February 2006. He managed Marketing at Blue7, a privately-held company that developed the Ultra-Wideband Wireless chipsets for consumer electronics. Prior to Blue7, Venkat was Vice President of Product Marketing at thinkingVOICE Networks, an Application Telephony Service Provider that pioneered click to talk technology. Venkat co-founded Zultys Technologies, where he was Director of Product Marketing and was the visionary behind Zultys' flagship product, MX1200, a SIP-based enterprise media exchange. During his career, Venkat has been responsible for product management at Cisco, Infineon, and IDT where he defined and launched many successful products into the marketplace.
