Ivano Costa received his Ph.D in Telecommunication from Polytechnic of  Turin (Italy) in 2001 and his M.S. Degree in Electronic Engineering in 1998.

He has been working with Telecom Italia Group since 1999, at first in TILAB (formerly CSELT) and Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) and currently in the Technology Innovation Dept of Telecom Italia.

He participated in various research projects on UMTS network architecture and service platform  and implicated in the strategic development of  3G services in TIM.

He is currently involved in the DVB-H Service project and, as project leader, in the WIBRO Trial project.
He is also the company’s representative for the Fixed Mobile Convergence Alliance (FMCA).
